Customized Gunworks: DMS gets ATF Machining License - Monday, May 23, 2016

Are you an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or a business that manufactures firearms?

Digital Machining Systems has been approved and licensed by the Department of Justice and the the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives with a Class 07 Federal Firearms License "FFL” and Special Operations Tax Certification "SOT” for manufacturing firearms and suppressors.

Unlike non-licensed machine suppliers, this means Digital can now bring machining expertise to individuals and companies in need of high-quality firearm receivers and other high-end components.

Last year the ATF ruled that businesses can not to allow access to their equipment and machinery that might be used to create firearm blanks, frames, and receivers. The ATF ruling also requires businesses to "identify any such firearm and maintain manufacturing records.”

The ruling means consumers without their own equipment won't be able to rely on shops for parts like receiver blanks, commonly referred to as 80 percent lower receivers.

If you are in the business of building or manufacturing custom firearms or suppressors, we can offer our extensive precision machining expertise and capacity to support your operations without the limitations of a non-licensed supplier.

Digital can manufacture quality firearm receivers and other high-end components and custom mark the parts with your company name and logo. We are a Louisiana-based machining company specializing in precision custom CNC machining, as well as a wide range of component manufacturing. We can guarantee your firearms parts will be exactly to your specifications.
